Chelsy's Visit

Chelsy's trip to Massachusetts was a success!
She arrived last Wednesday afternoon.
Luckily enough, Chelsy (one of my best friends from Texas), is going to school to be a photographer also, so she was joyfully entertained while I had to go to school on Thursday and Friday.
So, on Saturday we:
Went to the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory!
One of them invaded Emily's face-space...she wasn't pleased.

Chelsy LOVES butterflies!!!
Chelsy & Emily
A lot of the butterflies were gracious enough to pose for a picture.
A hitchhiker on Chelsy's shoulder...
The butterflies were attacking Emily..
But you're not supposed to touch the butterflies..

The beautiful blue one refused to ever land long enough for a picture..
Except for this one time when it landed on Chelsy's shoe, but only showed it's wings for fractions at a time.

This is pebbles...a lizard of some sort.
I love this one, very beautiful!
Before heading to Boston, we decided to take some photo-ops near these beautiful train cars in a field of wildflowers. lol...how cliche does that sound??
When we got off the subway there were some people gathering to protest the war.

Chelsy grabbed a flyer and bought some peace earrings and a necklace to add to her huge ever-growing collection.

This homeless man and his pet squirrel!
Some street performers, Black Guys Dancin' & An Asian (that's what they called themselves), were getting ready to perform.
They were pretty cool..

This guy was hilarious and had great facial expressions!

This guy walked through his group-members on his arms...

And this guy was going backwards through them...

There was a really cool brick archway that I decided to take advantage of.
Chelsy & I
A one man band! :) Pretty good, too!!

Spectators of all ages..
We stuck around here so long that we missed out on the MFA in Boston. Why they close @ 4:45 on a Saturday afternoon is beyond me!
So, we left around 7:30 and hit up an Applebee's  and called it a day.
But before she had to leave on Sunday, we stopped by Shelburne Falls, so she could see the Glacial Pot Holes and visit the Candle Shop right next to it.
I was really glad she came to stay for few days!!!
See you in June, Chels!
To everyone else:
Have a great week!!

Hey Jessi,
Thanks for linking my blog on your blog! Also, CONGRATS on making through the boot camp that is Hallmark! Well you're almost there anyways! You still have the review. It's so intimidating and scary...especially when someone doesn't pass right before you go up. That's what happened to me! Talk about scary! I'm sure you'll do just fine though. Your images are great!! Good luck with everything!!!

P.S.- Say hi to Michael Zide and Rich Barnes for me...oh and Paul Bissex. I love those men!

Hey jess,
remember that old toys-r-us commercial, when that kid is playing outside with a piece of paper, and he says "i'm having sooo much fun with my raincheck!" ?? Somehow, I just thought of that, and it reminded me of you, figured you'd like to know! lol....
ps--righteous photos, very well done...glad you had a great time with chels.
love,
