Street Portraits & a Surprise Proposal

Good evening, Ladies and Gents!
I'm currently sitting at a local coffee shop which is usually pretty peaceful...packed but peaceful. Tonight, however, the music selection is broadway hits, Disney songs and Christmas music and it's pretty distracting and random. Some would disagree, I'm sure...like the girls running this joint, but it would be nice if they just lowered the volume by a couple dozen decibels. Wup now it's "I wanna be where the people are" by Ariel in the Little Mermaid. Ok, I recant, that's a good one. Haha.

Ok, so, let's change the subject and show you some pictures I've taken recently.

A couple of months back, a dear friend of mine, Ericka (whom I met while working at Opal Divine's-Davenport), approached me with the idea of taking some pictures of her and her Aunt Cathy. Like they used to back when she was a little girl. Of course I was on board with that idea and we decided to hit up one of our favorite places in Austin: South Congress. Here are a couple of the highlights from that shoot:

I had a lot of fun with these two lovely ladies and best of all, I was taking street photos again...MY FAAAAVE!
Let me know if you're interested in taking part in a photo series like this.

Then right before Christmas, my friend, Paul, approached me about photographing him surprise his girlfriend. He lead her out to a field on her parents' property and proposed to her.
It was really sweet. Here are the top shots:

I've never been asked to photograph a proposal before and I was super nervous.
But I'm glad that I did it, I'm very happy for these two wonderful people and I'm happy to follow them through this next chapter of their lives...with my camera. :) (stay tuned for the upcoming engagement portrait session)

Well other than all of that I'm currently scheduling photo sessions, working on "Save The Date" cards for Paul & Jeannie and interviewing with photographers we might want to work with.
(So let me know if you're interested in scheduling a photo session or if you might want to work with us! email me: JessiHebert@gmail.com )

Alright guys, I didn't make my Sunday blogging deadline but I haven't been to bed yet so I'm still counting it as Sunday! And since I just chugged a double shot of espresso I won't be going to sleep anytime soon, either. :P

I hope you like what you've seen here today & I hope you'll consider me when you need a photographer in the future.

See you back here next week!!!!
Riiiiight??!!! :)

Much love!
Jessi
